New Year Energy

Starting a New Year in the middle of winter may not make much sense, but we can still find inspiration during this transitional time. Each year, people discuss their resolutions, the people they are leaving behind, and how they plan to change themselves for the upcoming year. Between us, I think we have been going about this all wrong. The New Year is a symbolic time for changing, starting anew, and ultimately evolving in some kind of way. Over the years, this season has been warped into picking ourselves apart, stripping ourselves, and making our lives about dieting.

Don’t get us wrong, there is nothing wrong with wanting to start your new year in the gym on a positive note, but I think it’s time for us to dig a bit deeper. Many of us who are interested in wellness and mindfulness know that we do not have to wait for a new calendar year to take care of ourselves. Our wellness routine and healing journey are not a straight line, and we must give ourselves the space and time to ebb and flow.

Consider this: as you journey through 2026, try not to strip yourself down too much. Reflect on what you might already be doing right, and consider what positive aspects can be enhanced. Not everything has to be about reduction, deprivation, or isolation.

Our energy for this New Year is bold, confident, carefree, courageous, and free. Rest when you need to, nourish yourself with healthy food, give your brain a break, move your body, and plan for the best season of your life. You’re already here, you’ve already arrived, keep moving forward!
